Born in 1949, married, 3 sons.
License in Mathematics and PHD in computer science at the University of Geneva, Xavier Comtesse worked for 10 years in Academia, 10 years as a start-up CEO and 10 years with the Federal Administration, including 7 years as a diplomat in the US. Xavier Comtesse was the first swiss scientific Consul in Boston where he founded the Swiss House. Since the beginning of 2002, Xavier Comtesse is the head of the Geneva Office of Avenir Suisse, the first Think Tank in Switzerland in charge for the development of economic and social issues.

Bravo pour votre critique très constructive de la Welt Woche lors du forunm de jeudi 1er mars. La Welt Woche vous fait chier !! ..Et comme le papier est glacé vous ne pouvez même pas vous torcher avec ! Je suis romand de mère jurassienne et de père tessinois et ai travaillé pour une firme zurichoise pendant 30 ans dans le monde entier. Il y a des bons romands, des bons tessinois et des bons suisses allemands. mais les statistiques et les chiffres ne devraient pas faire chier un mathématicien. Votre réaction est en dessous de tout. Si vous ne voulez pas voir la réalité, interdiser les statistiques et la publication de la Welt Woche. Comme ça les romands seront les meilleurs. La bonne réaction serait que les romands dont je suis se sortent les doigts au lieu de jouer les vièrges effarouchées à lecture des statistiques.
